German runners at Nancy

Nancy is not far from the German border and its two day PMU meeting, which starts today, can expect a host of German runners, about 30 in all. Today´s runners on the flat are: 14.05 CET, a claiming race over 2400 metres: Sagawing (Andreas Trybuhl/ William Mongil), Cabari (Dieter Fechner/ Franck Foresi), Wellango (Hans Blume/ Johan Victoire), Perdiz (Waldemar Himmel/ Maxime Guyon) and Claiborne (Mirek Rulec/ Jean-Michael Breux); the 2950 metres handicap at 16.05: Colombe d´Or (Werner Hefter/ Mongil), Ravenclaw (Himmel/ Guyon) and Weardi (Connie Brandstätter/ Eric Wehrel); the claiming race over 1950 metres at 17.05: Mezzolino (Fechner/ Guyon), Genios (Dr. Bolte/ Jean-Pierre Carvalho), Lava Rock (Hans-Walter Hiller/ Delphine Santiago), Qui Dancer (Blume/ Victoire) and Royal Rainbow (Andreas Löwe/ Alxi Badel); and Magic Artiste ((Himmel/ Guyon) in the 1950 metres handicap for 4yo´s at 17.35. In addition to the 5 flat races, there are also 3 N.H. races, and Manfred Weber has boo ked Paul Johnson to partner Narvik over hurdles at 15.35 and Toujours du Moulin over fences at 16.35. In our opinion, the best German bet is Genios at 17.05. In addition there is a good jumping card from Auteuil, featuring the valuable Prix Richard et Robert Hennessy at 16.50, as well as trotting this evening from Vincennes
