Beverley, Leicester and Lingfield

Hottest favourite of the day is likely to be Mark Johnston´s Chilly Filly (Royston Ffrench) on the 2yo maiden over an extended mile at 15.30 CET at Beverley. 3 of her opponents ran on Sunday and are not certain to turn out again, but in any case the form she has shown in her two starts so far gives her an obvious chance here. The class 3 handicap over the same trip half an hour later looks much more open. Collateral Damage (Tim Easterby/ David Allan) loves the ground and is on a favourable weight, but he has a poor strike rate and has won only once in the last 27 months. 3yo Reel Buddy Star (George Moore/ Chris Catlin) is a last-time-out winner and with bottom weight she can possibly score her first handicap victory. At Leicester only 4 run in the main featuire, a 5 furlongs conditions race at 17.20, but all 4 can be given a chance.

Mick Quinn saddles 2 runners, Angus Newz (Franny Norton) and Mango Music (Edward Creighton), while Biniou (Robert Cowell/ Rochard Havlin) has been running without much success in much better races. Oldtimer The Trader (Maurice Blanshard/ Liam Jones) won this in 2001 (!) and 2003 and could win again if in the right mood, but seems to have lost his form. At Lingfield, where the first 3 races are run on the turf and the last 4 on the all-weather, CD specialist Tabulate (Paul Hopwling7 Jimmy Quinn) stands out in the 10 furlongs seller at 16.40. The 7 furlongs handicap an hour later looks much trickier. Fiefdom (Ian McInnes/ Pat Mathers) won a similar race over this CD 3 weeks ago with Cativo Cavallino (John Long/ Natalia Gemelova) a close third and now 2 lbs better off; last-time-out turf winner Mandarin Spirit (Greg Chung/ Ashley Morgan) looks a big danger.
