Musselburgh and Nottingham this evening

Musselburgh`s card consists entirely of class 5 and 6 races, and the only one of interest is the 7 furlongs handicap at 21.10 CET with 8 likely runners. Horatio Carter (Kevin Ryan / Neil Callan) is in good form and has won 2 of his last 3 races, but has a huge weight for a 3yo. At the weights Zabeel Tower (R. Allan/ Tony Hamilton), who ha won 4 races this year, including this CD twice, and the Lomitas colt King Kenny (Steve Parr/ Tony Culhane), whp showed sigs of coming back to form last time, can be preferred. At Nottingham, Pewter Chapple-Hyam´s much improved 3yo Tasheba (Alan Munro) can win the class 3 handicap over 1 3/4 miles at 19.55; he has wn his last 2 races in good style and has also run well iver this CD. Ex-German Directa´s Dagger (Michael Scudamore/ Jack Dean) and another lightly-weighted 3yo The Betchworth Kid (Michael Bell/ Jamie Spencer) look the main dangers. Spomd quite decent performers have been declared for the class 3 conditions race over 5 furlongs at 20.55. Pace Offering (David and Adrian Nicholls), who wo this in 2006, has top weight, but has been running respectablyin group races, as has Rowe Park (Linda Jewell/ Dane O´Neill), while Chief Editor (Mark Wallace/ Jamie Spencer) is a good handicapper wh won ver this CD in April. Andrew Balding´s Loch Verdi (Franny Norton) (whose half-sister runs this afternoon at Lingfield) is also very speedy, but has not run this season and would probably prefer faster ground.
