More weather woes

The continued bad weather in Britain and Ireland is once again playing havoc with racing fixtures. Today´s iris meeting at Roscommon has been abandoned, as has tomorrow´s N.H. meeting at Worcester, while tomorow´s otjer N.H. fixture at Newton Abbot is also threatened, as are several meetings later in the week. The big meetings at Tralee and York will probably go ahead as scheduled but the heavy ground will certainly cause several leading fancies to drop out, for example Duke of Marmalade, hot favourite for tomorrow´s International Stakes at York, is not certain to run if the ground remains heavy.
