Jacques le Marois at Deauville

the big race at Deauville today is the Prix Jacques le Marois over a mile at 15.50. This Group One contest is always one of the best mile races of the season, but this time surprisingly there is only one foreign runner, the English-trained Major Cadeaux (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes), who hardly looks good enough. Freddie Head, who is in tremendous form, has a strong hand here with 2 runners, front-runner Racinger (Olivier Peslier) and impressive last-time-out winner Tamayuz (Davy Bonilla). Alain de Royer-Dupré and Pascal Bary also each saddle two runners, with Sageburg (Christophe Soumillon) and the 3yo filly Natagora (Yukata Take) respectively their main hopes.
