Kempton (a.w.), Ripon and Warwick

Thee is flat racing this afternoon on the all-weather at Kempton and on turf from Ripon and Warwick. Ripon stages the best event, a listed race for 2yo´s over 6 furlongs at 16.35 CET. Only 6 runners, but all of them can be gven a chance, with unbeaten Desert Phantom (David Simcock/ Richard Mullen) facing strong opposition from Talaking Hand (Silvester Kirk/ Paul Hanagan), who has won his last 3 races, and Favourite Girl (Tim Easterby/ David Allan), who has won twice. The Ripon Rowels handicap at 17.10 over a mile is wide open with 17 runners. Bottom weight Mangham is very consistent and made all to win at Haydock on heavy ground recently, but Tim Easterby´s two runners Webbpow (David Allan) and Collateral Damage (Duran Fentiman) look dangerous, as does Osteopathic Remedy (Michael Dods/ Tom Eaves).

At Warwick, the class 3 conditions race over 7 furlongs at 17.20 has attracted some decent performers, including Godolphin´s Law Lord (Darryll Holland), who is best on ratings bt having his first race in Britain; he last ran at the Dubai Winter meeting and before that was trained by André Fabre. Caldra (Silvester Kirk/ William Buick) has been running in group and listed races without much success but this is more his level, while Tasdeer (Michael Jarvis/( Richard Hills) - despite top weight - and cult horse Pawan (Ann Stokell) are also not out of it. It coud be signifiant that Godolphinsend their number one jockey Frankie Dettori to Kempton´s all-
