Ayr, Great Leighs and Lingfield

3 flat meetings in the U.K. this afternoon, including Great Leighs (all-weather) and Lingfield, where the first 3 races are on turf and the last 4 on the all-weather. Grea Leighs, with 3 class handicaps, has arguably the best races and the 1 3/4 mile handicap at 16.30 CET looks very open. Oldtimer Kasthari (Jamie Bethell/ Darryll Holland) has nbowbeen dropped to a nice weight and can possibly get the better of consistent Jagger (Gerald Butler/ Tolley Dean). The 6 furlongs race at 17.00 should lie between all-weather specialist Diriculous (Terry Mills/ Jack Mitchell) and consistent Dingaan (Andrew BValding/ Franny Norton), whuilwe the lightly raced Once a Gulch (Jeremy Noseda/ Seb Sanders) looks a useful prospect and can take mile handicap half an hour later on his way to better things. At Lingfield, Liberally (Brian Meehan/ Eddie Ahern), a half-sister to classic winner Speciosa, was a very easy winner last week and can follow up in the 10 furlongs handicao at 15.50. Terminato r (Ian Willams/ Stephen Donohoe), a son of Acatenango, is dropping in class and must have an each-way chance in the selling race at 16.20. At Ayr, Nevada Desert (Richard Whitake/ Dean McKeown), who ran well at Ripon on Monday in a much hotter race, can take rhe 9 furlongs handicap at 17.10 and the same trainer also has chances in the 5 furlongs handicap at 16.40 with the speedy Rio Sands (Michael Stainton).
