Rest of U.K. today

The remaining British meetings today are of much less interest, a low level flat meetimg at Beverley this afternoon, and jumps racing this evening at Perth and Worcester. It could be highly significant that in-form trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies sends his stable jockey Paddy Brennan on the long journey to Scotland to partner 3 runners at Perth, and they all appear to hold winning chances: Rory´s Boy, in the 3yo novice hurdle at 20.10 CET, Apollo Creed, going for a four-timer in the 3 miles handicap chase at 21.15, and Leamington Lad, who has top weight in the handicap hurdle at 22.15. At Worcester, Paul Nicholls´ Roby de Cimbre (Sam Thomas) can take the 2 mile handicap chase at 20.50, while German-bred Ladino (Sheena West/ Jamie Goldstein) has a good each-way chance under top weight in the handicap hurdle at 21.20. He has St.Mellion Freeway (Alison Thorpe/Noel Fehily) and Barneys Mate (Tony Honeyball/ Rachel Green), who has won his last 2 races very easily- both this CD and with this rider- to beat.
