Grand Prix de Vichy tonight

The only French racing this afternoon is a trotting meeting at Enghien, but much more significant is the evening flat meeting at Vichy, featuring the Grand Prix de Vichy, a Group Three over 2000 metres, the most important race of the Vichy meeting, which will be run at the late hour of 21.45 CET. André Fabre has a very strong hand here with Kocab (Stephane Pasquier) and the German-owned Aspectus (Johan Victoire). Victoire also partners Mezzolino for Dieter Fechner in a field of 20 for the 2000 metres claimer for 4yo´s at 22.15, but Fechner (who had a winner here yesterday) probably has better chances with Courthouse Steps (Dominique Boeuf) in a handicap over the same distance at 21.15.
