Doncaster, Fairyhouse (N.H.) and Nottingham

Poor planning this evening with flat racing at Doncaster and Nottingham, who are only a few miles apart. Easily the most interesting event is the 10 furlongs conditions race at 20.55 at Nottingham, although there are only 5 runners. Two of them are Godolphin horses coming off a long break, smart handicapper Fairmile (Frankie Dettori) and Hala Bek (Kerrin McEvoy), not seen out since swerving his chance away in the 2006 Derby. Sir Mark Prescott´s Soft Morning (Seb Sanders) is also in with a chance. At Doncaster, the race for 2yo fillies at 20.35 looks tricky. 6 of the 7 runners are already winners, 3 of them unbeaten. Possibly Crystal Moments (Ed Dunlop/ Ryan Moore) might come out best. There is also N.H. racing from Fairyhouse in Ireland. Two likely hurdle winers here are Rocket Boy (Noel Meade/ Paul Carberry) at 19.50 and half an hour later The God of Love (Philip Rothwell/ Davy Russell), a very easy winer in a large field at Tipperary 3 weeks ago
