Rest of U.K. and Ireland

There is plenty of other racing, with flat meetings at Doncaster and Musselburgh, mainly handicaps, and N.H. racing from Worcester and Hexham, including the first 3yo hurdle of the season, while this evening there is flat racing from the Curragh, including a listed race, Lingfield (the first 3 races on the all-weather and the last 3 on turf) and Newcastle. Richard Hughes can land a short-proce double at Lingfield on Navajo Joe for Brian Meehan at 19.40 CET and Straitjacket for Richard Hannon half an hour later; both finished second last time out and look certain to go one better soon. Another team who can double ois Oaul Nicholls and Tony McCoy, who can score at Worcester with Simondium at 15.25 and Oumeyade at 17.20, while John Gosden´s Moonquake (Jimmy Fortune) looks the best bet at Newcastle in the 10 furlongs maiden race at 20.50. The listed race over 10 furlongs at the Curragh at 20.00 should go to Mores Wells (Kevin Prendergast/ Declan McDonogh), very unlucky last time, althugh he faces strong opposition from the 3yo´s from the Bolger, O´Brie and Weld stables.
