Redcar and Musselburgh

Obviously there is little high class action at the other two afternoon meetings. At Musselburgh, the best race is probably the final 5 furlongs apporentice handica at 18.40, which should mainly involve the two top-weights, Speedy Senorita (Karl Burke/ Declan Cannon) and Grunge (Derek Barker/ Andrew Mullen). At Redcar, German-bred Garibaldi (Neil Wilson/ Paul Quinn) is an interesting long shot in the 10 furlongs handicap at 15.55. He is now on a very low rating (well deserved after a long run of poor performances) but may be capable of better form on his first outing for 7 months. Total Impact (Richard Fahey/ Jamie Moriarty) ran very well when runner-up last week at York and can go one better in the class 3 handicap over 6 furlongs at 17.10.
