French racing today

A mixed bag today in France, with N.H. racing at Auteuil, flat racing at Le Lion d´Angers and trotting this evening from Vincennes. Only German-trained runner is Christian von der Recke´s Fiepes Suffle (Philip Carberry) in the 3500 metre hurdle race at 16.50 at Auteuil. Although a mutiple winner at home, he faces a stiff task here, and Jacques Ricou´s mount Kikos is likely to start a hot favourite. Best flat race is the listed Prix Urban Sea for 3yo fillies over 2350 metres at 16.05. Arc winner Urban Sea had of course a German dam, so it would be nice if Horst Rapp´s Orient Queen (Henri-Alex Pantall/ Johan Victoire) could win, but she also faces a stiff task agaianst the two British raiders Barring Decree (Eoghan O´Neill/ Jean-Bernard Eyquem) and Zaskar ( Tom Dascombe/ Davy Bonilla) as well as local hopes Lautka and Lune Rose (Pascal Bary/ Christophe Lemaire).
