Carlisle and Sedgefield (N.H.)

With Royal Ascot starting tomorrow, today is obviously a very quiet day, witzh two meetings this afternoon, both in the far north, at Carlisle (flat) and Sedgefield (N.H.), but very few highlights. Tweo very speculative each way bets at Carlisle could be Kings College Boy (Richard Fahey/ Jamie Moriarty) in the class 5 5 furlongs handicap at 16.45 and Oeuf a la Neige (Linda Perratt/ Daragh O´Donohoe) in the mile handicap an hour later. The fomer, running for the third time this month, is dropping in the weights and showed signs of copming back to form last week, and the same holds true for the latter, a close third at Hamilton 11 days ago. At Sedgefield, Goldan Jessd (Alan Swinbank/ Brian Hughes) can defy a 10 lbs rise in his rating and take the final of the selling handicap hurdle series at 16.00. He was an easy winner here 26 days ago and can confirm the form with runner-up Errol (J.F.Coupland/ Eamon Dehdashti). The novice hurdle an hour later, also over 2 1/2 miles, looks a match between Jimmy Lambe´s Classic Moon (Tony McCoy) and Alan Swinbank´s Onerforsaturday (Hughes), who is making his hurdles debut after showing decent form in bumpers.
