Action at 4 tracks this evening

There is racing this evening at the Curragh in Ireland, Chester, Newmarket and Newcastle. At Newmarket, two last-time-out wnners with german pedigrees could well score agan- Sintenis Mac in the mile handicap at 17.25 CET and Temple of Thebes in the 6 furlongs race for fillies at 21.05. Main vent at Newcastle is the Gosforth Park Cup, a valuable 5 furlongs handicap at 20.25. 17 runners are declared, including many of the usual suspects. Howé she Cuttin (David Barron/ Darryll Holland) could be the answer here off bottom weight, after finishing third in a listed race at Ayr last Saturday. If the rains come, then last year´s winner Green Park (Rochard Fahey/ Paul Hanagan) would be a big danger. Best race at Chester is the fillies hndicap over 10 furlongs at 20.45; Sir Mark Prescott´s lightly-raced and improving Algarade, with Seb Sanders back in thre saddle after his knee problems, has a good chance here, but Storyland (William Haggas/ Kerrin McEvoy) and the super-consistent Proincess Cocoa (Richard Fahey) look very threatening. At the Curragh the big Irish Derby meeting gets under way, with the listed Saoire Stakes for 2yo fillies at 20.30 the main feature this evening. Shimah (Kevin Prendergast/ Declan McDonogh) and Chintz (David Wachman/ Johnny Murtagh) both won first time out in good style and have the finish between them
