Roscommon, Windsor and Wolverhampton

There is flat racing this evening from Windsor and Wolverhampton (all-weather), while the Irish track Roscommon stages a mixed meeting (3 flat, 4 N.H. and one bumper). The course specialist Jubilant Note (Michael Murphy/ Paul Carberry) will find gropund conditions to his liking and can defy top weight in the 2 mile handicap chase at 20.30 CET. At Windsor, only 4 are declared for the class 2 conditions stakes for 2yo´s over 5 furlongs at 19.40; Fault (Roger Charlton/ Ryan Moore) and White Shift (David Evans/ Stephen Donohoe) have already won well, but Peter Chapple-Hyam´s 200,000 guineas yearling purchase Sayif (Jimmy Fortune) is apparently highly regarded and can make a winning debut. First Avenue (Michael Jarvis/ Philip Robinson) and Inventor (Brian Meehan/Ryan Moore) both have similar profiles - lightly-raced progressive types making their seasoinal debut, and can have the 1 1/2 miles handicap at 20.40 between them. At Wolverjhamptpn, the class 4 handicap over 9 furlongs at 21.20 looks the most interesting race.On recent form Arthurs Edge (Brian Palling/ Tolley Dean) would be the selection, as he has won 3 of his last 4 races, including twice this CD, but top-weights Kafuu (Simon Callagan/ Seb Sanders) and Axiom (Luca Cumani/ Ashley Hamblett), both seasonal debutants, probably have more potential for improvement.
