N.H. racing at Kelso and Exeter

Two jumps meetings today. Kelso this afternoon and Exeter this evening, with generally low loevel sport,m but it could be significant that Paul Nicholls brings Ruby Walsh over for two rides at Exeter: Simondium, who was a well-beaten favourite on his only hurdles start back in November, in the maiden hurdle at 18.50 and Oumeyade in the class 3 handicap hurdle over 3 miles at 17.50 CET, the best race on the card. He was a very easy winner last week at Ludlow, and despite his 7 lbs penalty and a slightly longer trip, can score again. At Kelso, theclass 3 novice chase over 3 miles 1 furlong looks at the mercy of Flight Leader (Colin and Joe Tizzard) as long as he sdtands up. This is his first time ov er fances, but he was far and away the best of hurdls, despite falling last time at Cheltenham. Shopuldf anythin happen to him, reliable Palmers Peak (Martin Keighley/ Warren Marston) is the one who can take advantage. The latter´s connections can also take the following novices handicap hurdle with Ocarito, who has the lightly-weighted Native Coil (Neil Alexander/ Graham Lee) to beat.
