Lajoscha over sand for the first time

Deauville, Thursday, 15 December: The Fibersand track in Deauville is again the venue for eight exciting races today. The Prix Arcangues (5th race/16.10/52,000 Euro/2500 m) appeals to eleven horses and will be decided with German participation thanks to Andreas Wöhler`s Lajoscha (Mickael Barzalona).

The four-year-old recently gave an impressive performance in Chantilly, where he won superiorly over grass as a giant outsider and later confirmed the performance in Munich with a place of honour. It remains to be seen how Lajoscha will perform on the sand track for the first time. Beholding (Gerald Mosse) has already won twice on today`s ground. Since his place of honour in April, the Reynier protégé has not been on the course. He gets shooting help from Stormy Pouss (Clement Lecoeuvre), who announced herself third in Salon-de-Provence. Behtar (Tony Piccone) had no trouble celebrating his second victory in Chantilly, defeating Matauri Gold (Eddy Hardouin), who completes the group of three-year-olds together with Maximus (Enzo Corallo), who was second in the Prix Noailles (Group 3).
