Interesting amateur racing in Paris

Paris-Vincennes, Friday, 30 December: Vincennes starts the weekend with an eight-race programme. The best class will be addressed in the Prix de Saint-Leonard (4th race/17.48 h/12.000 Euro/2850 m), an amateur race with horses of the higher winning category.

Chalimar de Guez (Yannick Desmet), who earns his money under the saddle and is usually only an extra in this metier, is burdened with a double allowance. The ten-year-old, who recently placed fourth in the Prix Jules Lemonnier (Group 2), is not beyond outside chances. Much more attention is paid to band colleague Doux Parfum (Barbara Guenet), for whom the last victory in the Prix du Languedoc (Group 3) and the subsequent place of honour speaks. Firello (Aldric Manta) makes his fourth start after the break and should finish well ahead of Doux Parfum judging by his second place in the final of the `GNT` just over a year ago. Burdened with easy handicaps are Gold d`Ecroville (Benjamin Marie) and Espit Chupitos (Francois Chapdelaine), both double winners. Go Fast de Vains (Julien Renault) is eligible for a top place without faults, which also applies to Feline de Janville (Veronique Grelin), who ran strongly in Amiens.
