All-weather racing this evening

There are two all-weather meetings this evening, at Wolverhampton and Dundalk in Ireland. The Irish meeting is much classier and includes a listed race for 2yo´s at 20.30 CET. Coolmore clearly want to win this race, as they have entered 4 juveniles, two trained by Aidan O´Brien and two by David Wachman. As stable jockey Johnny Murtagh has chosen to partner Wachman´s Warning Flag, an easy CD winner last time, he can be assumed to be their main hope. He is moving up in grade here, but so are most of the others. One possible opponent is Mark Johnston´s Satin Love (Greg Fairley), but they may have better prospects with Distinguish in the preceding maiden race.

At Wolverhampton the best race is the 1 3/4 mile handicap at 20.50 with 12 runners. Lightly-raced Nezhenka (Sir Mark Prescott/ Seb Sanders) has a big weight for a 3yo filly and is having her first run on this surface, but if she adapts, can win this. The lightweights Palio Square (Henry Cecil/ Tom Queally) and Never Can Tell (Jamie Osborne/ Sophie Doyle), both winners here last time out, are the dangers. Best bet of the day is Godolphin´s Flag Officer (Saeed bin Suroor/ Ted Durcan) in the opening 2yo maiden at 18.50.
