rest of Newmarket and also group race at York

The main supporting feature at Newmarket is the Group Two Superlative Stakes for 2yo´s over 7 furlongs at 15.00. With Richard Hannon´s juveniles continuing to dominate this age group, King Torus (Richard Hughes) is automatically respected, as is Emperor Hadrian (Aidan O´Brien/ Johnny Murtgah), whose 2yo´s are always to be feared. However (Jremy Noseda/ Ryan Moore), who got up on the line to win a Group Two over 6 furlongs at the Curragh and should get this trip, has the better form, while Ecliptic (Mahmoud al Zarooni/ Ahmed Ajtebi), an easy Sandown maiden winner, is also in with a chance in this better company.
The Bunbury Cup over 7 furlongs at 15.35 is always one of the hottest handicaps of the season, and this renewal is no different with 20 runners. Palace Moon (William Knight/ Kieren Fallon) and St. Moritz (Mark Johnston/ Frankie Dettori) were both third in a huge field at Royal Ascot - in the Wokingham over 6 furlongs and Royal Hunt Cup over a mile repesctively, This intermediate distance should suit them both, while Signor Peltro (Henry Candy / Dane O´Neill) is another one for the short list.
Away from Newmarket, the most interesting race of the day is the Group Three Cuisine de France Summer Stakes for fillies and mares over 6 furlongs at 15.45 at York. Letteratura (Jean-Claude Rouget/ Christophe Soumillon) comes with strong form from France - she has finished first or second in her last 6 races - and can beat the British fillies, who look nothing out of the ordinary. The penalised Gilt Edge Girl (Clive Cox/ Luke Morris) and the 3yo Rose Blossom, whose trainer Richard Fahey and jockey Paul Hanagan have such a good record her, look the best of them.
