Exeter and Hereford

After yesterday´s excitements, today´s N.H. racing in Britain looks rather feeble, but we expect Paul Nicholls´ winning run (4 winners yesterday at Newbury´s big meeting) to continue at Exeter. He can win the listed novice hurdle at 16.00 CET with Najaf (Timmy Murphy), an unknown quantity in Britain but with smart form in France, and the handicap hurdle at 17.10 with Aldertune (Harry Skelton), a bit unlucky last time at Fontwell, while Nick Scholfield partners debutant Sunwise in the maiden hurdle at 17.40 (winner on the flat in Ireland last time out) and Rebel du Marquis in the novice hurdle at 18.10, although Wishfull Thinking (Philip Hobbs/ Giles Hawkins) looks a big danger here.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Highest Start - Ashfield`S Dream - Sir Kezbaah
2. Race: Najaf - Gifted Leader - Maggio
3. Race: Sonny Mullen - Glenwood Knight - Norwest
4. Race: Aldertune - Stagehand - Bertie May
5. Race: Sunwise - Rock Celtic - She`S On The Case
6. Race: Rebel Du Maquis - Wishfull Thinking - Moleskin

Venetia Williams is usually the trainer to follow at Hereford, her local track and for that reason we expect Noble Future (Aidan Coleman) to run well in the handicap chase at 15.20 despite uninspiring form figures. The same team also have a good chance in the maiden hurdle at 15.50 with National Obsession, when Dort Tranquile (Nicky Henderson( Tony McCoy) looks the one to beat. The most interesting race here is the mares novice hurdle at 16.25. Kerada (Henderson/ McCoy), Cobblers Queen (Henry Daly/ William Biddick) and Chili Rose (Alan King/ Robert Thornton) have all shown talent and should fight out the finish.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Roaming West - Canni Thinkaar - Paradise Expected
2. Race: Just Playfull - Red Rattle - Putney Bridge
3. Race: Dort Tranquille - Tzora - National Obsession
4. Race: Kerada - Chilli Rose - Cobbler`S Queen
5. Race: Hobb`S Dream - Quiet Bob - Nebeltau
6. Race: Thievery - Normandy Landings - Star Galaxy
7. Race: Letham Island - Bosamcliff - Norman Beckett
