Jumps racing today

The rest of this afternoon´s racing in Britain is over jumps and there are some quite large fields at both Hexham and Hereford, with good to firm going at each track. Richard Johnson could well win both the main races at the latter track. He rides the lightly-weighted Runaround Sue for Alison Thorpe in the mares´ handicap hurdle at 16.00 CET and an hour later Wheelavit for Claire Dyson, who landed a huge gamble last time at Newton Abbot and could well defy a 15 lbs rise in the weights. At Hexham, German-bred Acambo (David Pipe/ Timmy Murphy) has a huge weight to carry in the handicap hurdle at 16.50, but is the class act in the field and should be up to the task. He is likely to start favourite, while another German-bred top-weight Tora Bora (Brendan Powell/ Brian Hughes) in the handicap chase half an hour later, could well run a good race at big odds.
