Hip Hop Haufor ahead of Gaspar d`Angis this time?

Le Croise-Laroche, Wednesday, 24 May: The fifth leg of the provincial series Grand National du Trot (7th race/18.00 h/90,000 euros/2800 m) will be decided today in Le Croise-Laroche. Allowances are required from a winning sum of 278,000 euros or 462,000 euros.

In the Saint-Brieuc leg, Gaspar d`Angis (Eric Raffin) stayed within expectations in third handicap and about three lengths back Hip Hop Haufor (Christian Bigeon) finished in midfield. Both are expected to finish well ahead and a reversal of form also seems possible. In the Prix Tenor de Baune (Group 1), the Bigeon protégé finished sixth not far behind Happy Valley (Jean-Philippe Dubois), who later scored another second place in the Prix Aletheia (Course A), leaving Goeland d`Haufor (Damien Bonne), a stablemate of Hip Hop Haufor, behind. Harlem de Bucy (Alexandre Abrivard) will find a large following as the current `C` winner against Gamble River (Benjamin Rochard) and Galba Ringeat (Romain Derieux), who are positioned a tape more favourably today. Gamin Jaba (Nicolas Bazire) put in a bearish performance in his triumph twelve days ago despite allowance and now hits it very favourably from the basic mark.
