Big Rock still on course for victory in Prix de Guiche

Chantilly, Tuesday, 9 May: Eight races are on the programme in Chantilly today. The main event marks the Prix de Guiche (4th race/15.33 h/80.000 Euro/1800 m). Seven three-year-old stallions/geldings will meet at Group 3 level.

Four weeks ago, a similar match was decided in Longchamp with the Prix la Force (Group 3). In great style, Big Rock (Aurelien Lemaitre) won his third race in a row and for the first time over grass against Padishakh (Cristian Demuro), who also impressed in defeat. The run-in from Paris could be repeated, but Flight Leader (Bauyrzhan Murzabayev), who rallied after a fight in the Prix Noailles (Group 3) at the same venue, will also have something to say about the victory. Horizon Dore (Mickael Barzalona) finished well behind Big Rock, he could be further along in his second start, the same can be said for Rajapour (Christophe Soumillon) who finished third in the Prix de Fontainebleau (Group 3). Grey Tornado (Maxime Guyon) and Circeo (Gerald Mosse) are recommended by their victories in Angers and Saint-Cloud respectively.
