Top sport in Auteuil

Auteuil, Sunday, April 23: The obstacle stronghold in Auteuil is again the venue for top-class races today. The race will start with the Prix Jean Stern (1st race/13:58/235,000 euros/4400 m), which belongs to Group 2 and leads over the hunter jumps. Seven four-year-old geldings are under order. Goliath du Rheu (Angelo Zuliani) also pleased in defeat in the Prix Fleuret (Group 3), as he did earlier in the Prix Duc d`Anjou (Group 3). Not Too Bad (David Gallon), Okkido (Florent Bayle) also performed well this year and, like Janeiro Verde (James Reveley) who was unbeaten over the heavy jumps, are in contention for the very front.


The older hurdling stars will contest the Prix Leon Rambaud (6th race/17.00/174,000 euros/4300m). A similar match was decided here on March 26 with the Prix Hypothesis (Group 3). Theleme (Gaetan Masure) celebrated a superior victory and relegated Hermes Baie (Bertrand Lestrade), Spirit of The Moon (Ludovic Philipperon) and Goa Lil (Felix de Giles) to the next places.
