Etonnant the star in the Prix de l`Atlantique

Enghien, Saturday 22 April: At the Hippodrome d`Enghien Soisy, the Prix de l`Atlantique (4th race/15.15pm/200,000 Euro/2150m) is the focus of the nine-race card today. The classic will be decided without last year`s winner Vivid Wise As, but with the underperforming Etonnant (Anthony Barrier). The nine-year-old, trained by Richard Westerink, recently showed himself to be well prepared for future tasks in the Prix Kerjacques (Group 2). He defeated, among others, his current rivals Emeraude de Bais (Franck Nivard), Frisbee d`Am (Yoann Lebourgeois), Delia du Pommereux (Pierre-Yves Verva) and Gently de Muze (Jean-Michel Bazire). Among his fiercest rivals is Hohneck (Gabriele Gelormini), who is still winless this year, and who in turn faces an opponent in Horsy Dream (Eric Raffin), who put him in his place in the Prix de Belgique (Group 2). Go On Boy (Romain Derieux) finished only a short distance behind the leading group in the Grand Critérium de Vitesse (Group 2).
