Start of the season in Enghien

Enghien, Friday, 10 March: With the Hippodrome d`Enghien, another premium track rings in the new season in France today.

Right at the beginning, the Prix de Mimizan (1st race/16.03 h/68,000 Euro/2875 m) is a high-quality trotting race to be decided. Get Lovely Delo (Yoann Lebourgeois), who comes from a heavy test background, will find a solvable task, but Hakim de Chenu (David Thomain), who has won twice this year, will be a tough test for the seven-year-old. Faster Syga (Loanne Fauchon) and Fougue du Dollar (Mathieu Mottier) enter with mixed form, but are conceivable up front in terms of class.

The final Prix de Sanary-sur-Mer (8th race/20.15pm/59,000 Euro/2150m) will address the upmarket set in front of the sulky. Ghalie du Goutier (Theo Duvaldestin) and Great Tigress (Benoit Robin) know each other from the Prix d`Arras (Course D), where they finished next behind the winning favourite. A renewed duel between the two mares is on the cards, but the spoiler could be Geisha Speed (Anthony Barrier), who finished a strong second with allowance on 9 January, while Great Tigress was off the pace after racing in front and battling for places.
