Aljadeed faces difficult task

Chantilly, Monday, 6 February: Nine races are on the programme at the beginning of the week in Chantilly. In the Prix de Plailly (5th race/13.25 h/27.000 Euro/1600 m), a `Classe-2` competition with seven participants, Mario Hofer with Aljadeed (Stefanie Koyuncu) tries to put right the last two disastrous performances on this course. It remains to be seen whether he will succeed against strong competition.

The Dortmund sand track winner from last year will meet Eagleway (Christophe Soumillon) again, who was a narrow winner at the France comeback on 23 December. Among the closest favourites is the over 300,000 Euro We Ride The World (Anthony Crastus). Although he only ran at the back in his season debut in Cagnes-sur-Mer, the eight-year-old has the necessary class that should be enough to win. Twist (Maxime Guyon) won here last year and currently the protégé of Carlos Laffon-Parias was second in Deauville. Le Nomade (Hugo Journiac) and Ciccio Boy (Gerald Mosse) fought out a Quinté handicap in November and are conceivable at any time in the front. Brazilian Surprise (Cristian Demuro) underlined her strong form with a second place in the `Classe 1`.
