Kick-off with the Prix de Poitiers

Paris-Vincennes, Wednesday, 3 January: Eight races will be decided today in Vincennes from 13.50. Among the best races is the introductory Prix de Poitiers (1st race/13.50 h/75,000 Euro/2700 m), a `Course B` test with older horses in the prize category up to 365,000 Euro.

Equipped with first chances is Falco d`Havaroche (Gabriele Gelormini), for whom Jean-Michel Baudouin is responsible. The seven-year-old won a similar match here in November against, among others, the third-placed Flower By Magalou (Anthony Barrier), who later turned the tables on Falco d`Havaroche in a leg to the Grand National du Trot (Group 3) to finish second. Flaya Kalouma (Gabriel Angel Pou Pou) also belongs to the narrowest circle of favourites. Worth mentioning are her two places of honour in the Prix Isara (Course A) and in the Prix de Cosse-le-Vivier (Course C). Fee de Ranchval (Matthieu Abrivard) will have a large following as winner of the Prix de Sille-le-Guillaume (Course C) over Flower Ball (Jean-Michel Bazire), Espoir d`Elphigny (Arnaud Desmottes) and Erolina (Christophe Martens).
