Wiesentau and Mansour in the `Défi du Galop`

Strasbourg, Sunday, 18 September: Eight races will take place today at the season highlight in Alsace. The focus is on the 12th leg of the race series Défi du Galop (5th race/13.40 h/60,000 Euro/2100 m). Two German participants will try to make their mark on the Listed competition.

Andreas Wöhler`s Wiesentau (Hugo Besnier) brings a fresh victory from Baden-Baden and the Pavel Vovcenko-trained Mansour (Michael Cadeddu) will find a large following with his place of honour in the Spreti race (Group 3). Antelope Canyon (Stephane Pasquier) from the quarters of Andre Fabre has to be beaten. The gelding improved his season`s record last time out in Deauville with a place of honour. The in-form Fantastic Spirit (Coralie Pacaut) and Top Max (Soufiane Saadi), who came close to winning at the end of last year`s race series, are also to be watched.
