Opening day 2022 in Halle

Halle, Friday, 19 August: In earlier times, it was the Saale floods that repeatedly caused problems at the racecourse in Halle. Later, wild boar damage thwarted races here. But on Friday there will now be the 2022 premiere, it is the first of two dates.

Six races will be run here between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and of course everything is in the spirit of grassroots sport. One is the sole organiser in Germany. In the 2,200 metre race for the Derby age group, First Smiling (R. Piechulek) was hardly to make the long journey from Munich without a background. The debut was good. In the counterpart over 1,500 metres, Saldenlady (M. Pecheur) truly deserved a hit.
