Friday Thirteen ahead of Angie again?

Clairefontaine, Friday, 12 August: The mixed racing day with six flat and three steeplechase races begins with the first start at 1.40 pm. The second race at 2.15pm is the Prix Groupe Tranchant, a €35,000 chase race offering the highest prize money on the day. Five horses are running. The winner is decided after 3,900 metres.

Two horses already met on this track at the beginning of July. Friday Thirteen (James Reveley) won by two and a half lengths ahead of Angie (Angelo Zuliani). While Angie has since taken a break, Friday Thirteen recently had to be stopped in a hurdle race. Nevertheless, the gelding again seems to be the better choice over the mare. Le Garlaban (Nicolas Gauffenic) has already won three hurdle races this year, including even one at List level in Compiegne. At his only appearance over the heavy chasing jumps, the gelding finished fifth in May. Since then he has taken a break. Mon Doudou (Erwan Bureller) is a fresh winner of a hurdle race in Chateaubriant. On the chasing track, the gelding won in Cagnes-sur-mer on Christmas Day. Isarak (Gwen Richard) has had nothing to show over hurdles so far. This is his first appearance in a hunter race.
