Enghien summer finale

Enghien, Wednesday 17 August: The summer meeting in Enghien ends today with the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (5th race/18.23/150,000 euros/2875 m), which takes centre stage and is part of Group 2.

Five of the ten participants met here in the Prix de Washington (Group 2). Galius (Yoann Lebourgeois), who narrowly failed in the Prix d`Amérique, once again had to make do with second place behind Hohneck, but remained clearly ahead against Dorgos de Guez (Nicolas Bazire), who ran well but ultimately had no chance, as well as Violetto Jet (Franck Nivard) and Heros de Fleur (Alexis Prat). The highly touted Elie de Beaufour (Jean-Michel Bazire) failed to gallop, but was better than Galius and Dorgos de Guez before that in the Prix Chambon P (Group 2). Diable de Vauvert (Tony Le Beller) crowned his career in the Winter Meeting by winning the Prix de Paris (Group 1). In his last appearance in the Prix Rene Balliere (Group 1), he finished fourth ahead of Galius. Callmethebreeze (Andrea Guzzinati) is trying his hand outside the year group and is aiming for a better premium.
