Badener Meile the top event at the start of the Spring Meeting

Baden-Baden, Thursday, 26 May: A year ago, the Spring Meeting in Baden-Baden was cancelled due to the change of operator, but now the three great days in May at the Iffezheim racecourse are getting underway. Already on the opening Thursday, the fans can look forward to a great programme with nine races between 1.30 pm and 6.15 pm.

The big attraction is the 44th Kronimus Badener Meile (Group II, 70,000 Euros, 1,600 m), the summit meeting of the best 1,600-metre horses. This definitely includes Mythico (R. Piechulek), who recently prevailed at Group III level in Düsseldorf. Sea Of Marengo (M. Pecheur) from the Netherlands was also close behind in third place. The favourite role could go to Novemba (B. Murzabayev), as she was even the classic winner. Dangerous is the mightily improved Parol (A. de Vries). Best Lightning (M. Seidl) also has enough class.

Promising mares compete in the Prize of the Baden-Baden Hotel & Catering Industry (Listed race, 25,000 Euros, 2,200 m). Sasakia (J.-L. Guillochon) brings strong recommendations from France. Her strongest opponent could be Accola (M. Pecheur). In the Equalisation I over 2,000 metres, Siluto (A. Sanna) could celebrate the third victory in a row.

30,000 Euros (with a jackpot of 5,000 Euros) are offered as a guaranteed payout in the 5th race (Equalisation III, 1,800 metres), 11,111 Euros in the 9th race (Equalisation IV, 1,400 metres).
