Top three-year-olds in Deauville

Deauville, Thursday 7 April: Separated by sexes, two Group 3 examinations for three-year-old horses, each worth 80,000 euros, will be decided today in Deauville. The stallions are under order in the Prix Djebel (2nd race/14.25 h/1400 m). According to the trade press, My Fancy (Maxime Guyon), who is currently third in the Prix Omnium II (List race), could be the winner. Three horses with fresh winning form are Nesr Shalghoda (Theo Bachelot), Loubeisien (Stephane Pasquier) and Kingentleman (Cristian Demuro). They are among the closest favourites, as is the debuting Liyann (Christophe Soumillon), who already showed off here in August. Rock Boy (Mickael Barzalona) has not yet lost a race in his two-start career.

In the Prix Imprudence (3rd race/15.00/1400 m), all the mares are seasonal debutants except for Txope (Aurelien Lemaitre), who finished third in Chantilly. Accakaba (Maxime Guyon) and Fleur d`Iris (Mickael Barzalona) fought out the Prix du Calvados (Group 2) among themselves here and rally many observers behind them. The latter later disappointed in the Prix Marcel Boussac (Group 1) in a beaten field. Zellie (Olivier Peslier) won the mares` classic very easily ahead of Who Knows (Theo Bachelot), among others, who finished third behind Txope and ahead of Fleur d`Iris in her last appearance before the break in the Prix Miesque (Group 3). Malavath (Christophe Soumillon) earned big money with second place in the Breeders` Cup (Group 1) in the USA. Osmose (Cristian Demuro) and Masiel (Tony Piccone) moved into the winter break with victories.
