Three-year-olds in the Prix Maurice Caillault

Chantilly, Tuesday, 8 March: The highlight of today`s eight-race card in Chantilly is the Prix Maurice Caillault (5th race/16.10 pm/55,000 Euro/1800 m). The Listed race is aimed exclusively at three-year-old horses. Five of the eight participants won their last start.

Cilantro (Olivier Peslier) had everything under control on the sand track in Cagnes-sur-Mer and took three lengths off his nearest pursuers. Fighter In The Win (Ioritz Mendizabal) also won as expected in the handicap on the Riviera. Mr Coalville (Christophe Soumillon) triumphed in Deauville to record his third score on his fourth French appearance. At the same venue, Machete (Stephane Pasquier) won his first race, leaving 13 opponents behind. Implementation (Mickael Barzalona) is track winner from 12 February. Gemmyo (Thomas Trullier) and User Kindly (Cristian Demuro) are proven dirt horses, while Saramouche (Maxime Guyon), the only mare in the field, is running on sand for the first time. The latter took an honourable place at Listed level in November.
