Strong three-year-olds in Chantilly

Chantilly, Monday, 14 March: Eight races will be held today at the Fibersand track in Chantilly. Two competitions of the category `Classe 2` are reserved for the three-year-olds.

The stallions/geldings will contest the Prix du Lieutenant (2nd race/14.25pm/28,000 Euro/1600m). All eight participants are seasonal debutants. Al Hakeem (Cristian Demuro) and Westminster Night (Clement Lecoeuvre) won their first race on this course and are considered track specialists, as is Star Rock (Olivier Peslier), who won over sand in Deauville. Tipperary Sunset (Christophe Soumillon) already tried his hand at Group 2 level in the Prix Robert Papin, but played no part when heavily bet. Zagrey (Gregory Benoist), Khan (Gerald Mosse), First Ray (Mickael Barzalona) and Sitello (Maxime Guyon) are not to be ignored due to their good performances last year.

In the mares` Prix du Château (3rd race/15.00/28.000 Euro/1600 m), Delida (Aurelien Lemaitre) is the only one of six participants to have a fresh victory. She won here effortlessly just over a month ago. Subahiyah (Cristian Demuro) put down her maiden here in convincing style a year ago. Dancinginthestreet (Christophe Soumillon) and Nadette (Theo Bachelot) are Group 3 tested and, like National Dance (Mickael Barzalona) and Gregarina (Stephane Pasquier), who were successful in Normandy, should be taken into account.
