Egot in Prix Cor de Chasse with highest mark

Fontainebleau, Monday, March 28: Older horses are the target of today`s Prix Cor de Chasse (2nd race/14:25/52,000 euros/1100m) in Fontainebleau, which is part of the Listed class. The maximum-weight Egot (Mickael Barzalona), trained by Andre Fabre for Godolphin, faces no walkover but cannot avoid being the favorite. The then three-year-old was certainly ahead in his last appearance in the Prix de Seine-et-Oise (Group 3) and recorded another success after winning at Saint-Cloud and Deauville at Listed level. Midlife Crisis (Olivier Peslier) and Live (Maxime Guyon) ran placed on the dirt just under three weeks ago and are about to score their first of the season. Elysium (Victor Seguy) ran in three valuable wins in Ireland and should not disappoint on his French debut. Isle of May (Julien Guillochon) turned in her best performance to date when second in the Prix Sigy (Group 3) a year ago and is Godolphin`s second hope. Flying Candy (Alexandre Gavilan) last won a handicap on this course against, among others, Baileys Blues (Tony Piccone), who exceeded expectations in the Prix Anabaa (Classe 1) against better opponents. Stormbringer (Benjamin Marie) lost form after three wins in a row and took a break. He should finish far ahead in top form.
