Bazire victory at the start?

Paris-Vincennes, Monday, 21 February: Today`s eight-race event on the Plateau de Gravelle kicks off with the Prix de Bracieux (1st race/13.50 h/44,000 Euro/2850 m), the highest class of the day.

The `Course-D` portion appeals to six- to eight-year-old stallions/geldings that have not yet won 153,000 euros. Gigolo Lover (Jean-Michel Bazire) is one of the participants with the best form. The six-year-old won here on New Year`s Day against, among others, the higher rated Gin Tonic Duran (Gabriel Angel Pou Pou) and a fortnight ago he came in as a good `B` third. Two wins in a row speak for Gourou (Mathieu Mottier). In the latest triumph, the gelding was traded at triple-digit odds Mister Donald (Björn Goop), M.T.Oscar (Adrien Lamy) and Bordeaux S. (Paul Philippe Ploquin) lost out to the Mottier protégé, but performed well in the front third. Zadec del Ronco (Gabriele Gelormini) is a blank slate in France, but should play a leading role based on his form. Marvellous Tooma (Eric Raffin) has seen quite different opponents. With the French drivers` champion, he can be expected to win.
