6 poor meetings with very small fields

6 meetings today but from a betting perspective of very little interest. Not only is the standard low throughout, there are some very small fields, including no fewer than 3 matches at Exeter. This meeting is best ignored, while at the other British jumps meeting at Ludlow there is only one race with normal each-way betting - the 3 mile handicap chase at 15.40 CET. Our choice here is King Massini (Evan Williams/ Adam Wedge), who is not the most consistent but usually goes well at this track and will be suited by the fast ground.
The situation is not much better with the 3 flat cards which are all very uninspiring . At Kempton 6 of the 7 races are low level handicaps, the exception being the 7 furlongs maiden at 15.50, arguably the most interesting race of the day with two well-bred sorts from top stables in the line-up - Bold (Roger Charlton/ Jimmy Fortune) and New Style (Saeed bin Suroor/ James Doyle); we prefer the Godolphin 3yo, who showed little on his only start so far but is surely capable of picking up a small race at some time - possibly today. Later on, the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 17.55 will not require much winning; perhaps Argot (Charlie Longsdon/ Dane O´Neill) is the answer, he is up in trip but has run well over hurdles and has in fact been runner-up over sticks on all 3 starts this year.
