two very poor cards

this afternoon would be a good time for shopping or going to the cinema, as after the abandonment of Ayr, we are left with two very poor cards of minimal betting interest. Tomorrow will be no much different, as Ffos Las has already been called off.
At Plumpton today David Bridgwater and Tom Scudamore start with good chances in the first 3 races - with Golan Dancer at 14.20 CET, last week´s winner Bravo Riquet at 14.55 and Bally Sands at 15.30; the last-named threw his chance away last week by a violent swerve after the last which cost his young jockey a ´long and controversial suspension. With the experienced Scu now up, he can make amends, but we are less sure about Bravo Riquet, as today´s distance is miuch shorter and we prefer Albatros de Guye (Anna Newton-Smith/ Andrew Thornton). Later on, Chris Gordon has two good chances in the handiap hurdle at 16.35; Sweet Boy (Tom Cannon) has possibly the better prospects on recent form, but we shall give another chance to Promised Wings (Mark Goldstein), who has an excellent German pedigree and his poor effort over fances last time can be forgiven.
At Wolverhampton, Brazilian-bred Energia Flavio (Marco Botti/ Ryan Tate) drops in grade for the 8 1/2 furlongs handicap at 15.55 and must surely be capable of running well agnaist this relatively feeble opposition.
