back to normal

after the excitements of Derby Day, we are down to earth again today, with three cards at a much lower level. The only black type race of the day is the listed 10 furlongs race at 16.40 CET at the Curragh. Top-rated here is Parish Hall, whose trainer/ jockey combination of Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning took this event last year. They can win it again, as Parish Hall, despite giving weight away, is clearly the best horse in the field, and last time out ran the Group One performer Magician to a neck over this CD. The question mark in the race is the once-raced Nonchalant (Dermot EWeld/ Pat Smullen), the only 3yo in the line-up. He won a maiden at Cork and on the face of it would need to improve dramatically to figure here, but this trainer is always dangerous in such events, especially as his colt, as the only 3yo in the field, is getting lots of weight.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Cape Clear Island - Popularity - U S Navy Seal
2. Race: Monsieur Power - Bush Pilot - Eriniya
3. Race: Wishyouwerehere - Invincible Ridge - Kiss The Stars
4. Race: Parish Hall - Ursa Major - Harasiya
5. Race: System Overload - Leliani - Tarziyna
6. Race: Just Gorgeous - Abby Cadabby - Princess Pearlita
7. Race: Iniesta - Gentry - Urban Moon
8. Race: Gypsy King - Emerita - Ode To Psyche
