Rest of Cheltenham

It has been a good meeting so far for favourite backers, and we expect this trend to continue today. Dynaste (David Pipe/ Tom Scudamore) is unbeaten over fences asnd looked most impressive when winning at Kempton on Boxing Day; he can take the opening Jewson Novices Chase at 14.30 CET and see off a strong Irish challenge. The handicaps all have huge fields, but there are clear favourites at 15.05 - Sam Winner (Paul Nicholls/ Ruby Walsh) and at 17.00 Ballynagour (Pipe/ Scu) and both should certainly finish in the money, although in the latter race we also like Poquelin (Nicholls/ Harry Derham), who always runs well at this track and has been dropped in the weights. The handicap chase for amateur riders at 17.40 can go to Super Duty (Donald McCain/ Derek O´Connor), who apart from one fall has never yet finished out of the first two and has one of the very best riders in the saddle. The two Irish sisters-in-law Nina Carberry and Katie Walsh ride the lightly- weighted Romanesco and No Secrets here and could also both finish in the frame, while they also have chances in the cross country at 18.15 (if it is run today) on Arabella Boy and Shakervilz respectively.
