Wincanton on today, Musselburgh off tomorrow

Today´s N.H. meeting at Wincanton is on after the course passed an early morning inspection. With Ludlow and Market Rasen already abandoned, it will be the only N.H. racing in the U.K. today, although there is an additional jumpers bumper meeting at Lingfield. There is also Irish N.H. racing at Thurles, including two graded races, while in Meydan we have the second day of the Dubai World Cup Carnival with international fields, including two runners trained in Cologne by Peter Schiergen.

The weather forecast for the U.K. remains bad, with plenty of snow and very low temperatures. Tomorrow´s fixture at Musselburgh has already been called off, while Chepstow look doubtful; Saturday´s big meetings at Ascot and Haydock will be also be under threat if the weather forecast is correct.
