Southwell - Monday and Tuesday abandoned

Even the all-weather tracks are suffering in the wet weather which has out large areas of the U.K. and Ireland under water. The course at Southwell is flooded and racing today and tomorrow has already been called off; they also have racing scheduled for Wednesday, but it is not clear of the waters will have receded by then. It seems almost certain that more fixtures will be cancelled this week, but at least it appears likely that racing will go ahead today at Kempton and Ludlow. Sedgefield (Tuesday) has also already been called off.
