Ripon (today) and Hexham (tomorrow) abandoned

The bad weather news continues and today´s meeting at Ripon has been abandoned as well as tomorrow´s at Hexham. In addition all races at this evening´s Ascot fixture will be run on the straight course, so there are now just 6 races with a late start - and 5 of them have tiny fields. What will happen to tomorrow´s fixture is not yet clear, but the round course seems to be unraceable at the moment. Racing at Lingfield today and tomorrow (including the classic trials) will now be on the all-weather instead of on turf, while Warwick has switched Saturday´s flat card to a jumps meeting.
