Today´s N.H. action

The best jumps racing comes from Haydock, where there are 3 very competitive 50,000 GBP handicaps. Ruby Walsh is here for just one ride, Paul Nicholls´ Pasco in the 2 1/2 mile chase at 16.30 CET, and this hint must be taken. He has not won for 3 years but has run plenty of good races and has been dropped to a nice mark. Ferdy Murphy´s two runners Riguez Dancer (Noel Fehily) and Lord Villez (James Reveley), both last-time-out winners, look the main dangers. The 2 3/4 mile chase at 15.25 could go to German-bred Bocciani (Brian Ellison/ Denis O´Regan), who is stepping up on trip; distance specialist Buffalo Bob (Kim Bailey/ Jason Maguire) is one of many dangers. Ellison clearly wants to win the handicap hurdle at 15.55 as well, as he saddles no fewer than 7 of the 20 runners. Hard to say which is his best prospect, so we shall take 3 others against the field - Dineur (Alan King/ Wayne Hutchinson), Monarchs Way (John Ferguson( Tom O´Brien) and German-bred All the Winds (Sam Lyce tt/ Sam Twiston-Davies).

There could also be a German-bred winner at Newton Abbot, with both Passato (Jo Davis/ Paddy Brennan) and Oldrik (Philip Hobbs/ Giles Hawkins) having a chance in the main event, a 2 mile handicap at 16.40. We prefer the former, who as a son Lando should appreciate the likely fast ground. The 3 mile handicap chase at 16.55 is the top race at Carlisle. All 6 runners have chances here, and we give a narrow vote to bottom-weight Isla Pearl Fisher (Neil and Lucy Alexander).
