Only Ludlow and Navan

With Wetherby abandoned, the low level N.H. meeting at Ludlow is now the only British fixture today. We are hoping for a German-bred double here with Aviso (David Evans/ Sam Thomas) at 15.10 CET and Seventh Sky (Charlie Mann), also partnered by Sam Thomas at 16.50. We are especially keen on the latter, a half-brother to Samum & co., and any more rain would further improve his chances.

The Irish flat racing at Navan is much more interesting, and the listed Salsabil Stakes for 3yo fillies at 16.25 - worth more than most German group races- has a good line- up headed by the unbeaten Cleofilia (Jim Bolger /Kevin Manning) and Kissed (Aidan and Joseph O´Brien) as well as runners trained by Dermot Weld, Kevin Prendergast and Jessica Harrington. With the O´Brien 3yo´s currently winning all over, we expect Kissed, a daughter of Galileo who cost almost a million pounds at auction, to continue the stable´s winning run. The O´Brien´s have more good chances today and we expect them also to take the 3yo conditions race at 18.05 with Athens.
