bad weather continues

the bad weather continues in Britain and Ireland with heavy rain and strong winds and with them big problems for racing. Punchestown was forced to cancel its two chases yesterday and will do so again today. They will probably now be staged (weather permitting!) on Saturday, the last day of the meeting. Today´s card of 5 races now starts at 17.50 CET.
This evening´s N.H. meeting at Uttoxeter has been abandoned, and Beverley this afternoon has called for a further inspection and looks doubtful. Leicester has already cancelled its Saturday fixture and further losses seem likely.
